With a distinct sound that stemmed from his isolated beginnings when he first moved from Jakarta, Indonesia to Washington D.C. in the USA at the age of fifteen, suisei has all the makings of becoming the nation’s next big thing. 

After discovering Lil Peep, Post Malone, Juice WRLD, and many of the other “SoundCloud Rap” generation during that period, suisei was taken back to the time when he fell in love with music by the likes of Blink-182, Green Day, and more. They have all become the building blocks to his music and since he embarked on his musical journey as a producer under the pseudonym dextrust up until now, suisei has garnered plaudits and fans aplenty as he continues to push the envelope and make music that encapsulates his character. 

Storytelling is one of his main strengths and suisei loves to tell a good story, such as his song “You & Me” on which he confessed of his frustrations and hopes about a long-distance relationship that he was involved in. suisei always takes his listeners on a journey of self-discovery, himself included.
